Shower mixers

Virtually all modern shower mixers are thermostatic mixers. The Enduce energy recovery floor drain works best with thermostatic mixers.

Thermostatic mixers control the mixing ratio of cold and hot water via a sensor placed in the tempered water sent to the shower head. This is done by using a temperature-sensitive graphite wax capsule (the sensor) together with the temperature control on the mixer to control the ratio of hot to cold water mixed in. This means that thermostatic mixers are generally quite insensitive to the temperature of incoming cold water and hot water. This has been verified both in some 10 technical installations and in discussions with thermostatic mixer specialists at several of the market's leading mixer suppliers.

More from the knowledge bank

The design of the shower area and the location of the ventilation system play a major role in shower comfort, bathroom climate and, not least, energy efficiency.
According to Boverket, the contribution of energy-saving technologies to improving energy performance may be included in the calculations based on the demonstrated energy savings of the technology.
Enduce does not reduce water consumption overall, but hot water consumption does. The resource saving lies mainly in the energy and not in the water.
