Does Enduce E1 work with bathtubs?

The operating principle of the solution is that the energy in the continuous flow of used shower water (hot) is heat exchanged with the continuously incoming cold water on its way to the shower mixer during showering. According to independent studies, this operating principle provides the best possible conditions for highly efficient energy recovery from shower and gray water.

Using the Enduce floor drain with a bathtub works, provided that the bathtub is also used for showering and that the floor drain floor strainer can be accessed and opened for cleaning. However, no energy can be recovered when draining the bath water as no cold water is used by the shower mixer at that stage.

The installation of the Enduce energy recovery floor drain leads to a significant reduction of energy consumption during the operational phase (EPD module B1).
Calcareous water does not have a problematic impact on the floor drain either on the gray water side (used shower water) or the tap water side.
A hot water-based cleaning system heats, melts and flushes greasy deposits out of the heat recovery system's heat exchanger.
