How to clean Enduce E1

The Enduce E1 operates completely passively, without pumps, sensors or electronics. To ensure operational reliability and ease of maintenance, the product has an integrated cleaning system that prevents and eliminates soiling and clogging. If the heat recovery system is partially or completely blocked, the gray water is automatically led to the drain via an integrated overflow drain with a separate water trap. When this happens, a red float indicates that it is time to clean the floor drain.

How Enduce E1 works

The Enduce floor drain recovers heat from the shower water through a highly efficient heat exchanger integrated directly into the shower floor drain. As used shower water flows through the heat exchanger, the heat is transferred to the incoming cold water of the shower, which is preheated. This means that significantly less hot water needs to be added when showering, reducing energy and hot water consumption by up to three quarters.

Questions and answers

Calcareous water does not have a problematic impact on the floor drain either on the gray water side (used shower water) or the tap water side.
A hot water-based cleaning system heats, melts and flushes greasy deposits out of the heat recovery system's heat exchanger.
Enduce E1 meets the requirements of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning. To date, the technology has been used over 15,000 times.
More than 96% of resource consumption is used to heat shower water, while water use accounts for only about 4%.
The floor drain is designed to be fully repairable. This means that all internal and moving components can be replaced if something breaks.
But it is perfectly possible to take a cold shower. When you adjust the mixer to colder shower water, less hot water is mixed into the shower water and less heat is transferred from the outgoing shower water to the incoming cold water.
