Shower floor drains with heat recovery.

Enduce E1 brings profit for all

With the Enduce E1, up to 75 % of the heat that would otherwise be wasted down the drain can be recovered. The showering experience is unaffected, but energy losses are significantly reduced, leading to major savings - both for the environment and your wallet.

What makes the Enduce E1 unique is its high efficiency, despite being completely passive - no electronics, no pumps. This makes it robust and cost-effective. An in-built cleaning system prevents and inhibits clogging.

Development is moving forward. With Enduce floor drain E1 you get an attractive product, a good margin and at the same time you are at the forefront of meeting future legal requirements and guidelines.

How it works

The Enduce floor drain recovers heat from the shower water through a highly efficient plate heat exchanger integrated directly into the shower floor drain. As used shower water flows through the heat exchanger, heat is transferred to the incoming cold water of the shower, reducing energy and hot water consumption by up to three quarters.

Unique to the Enduce E1 is its passive function. Heat recovery takes place completely without pumps, sensors or other electronics. No replacement filters are required either. A hot water driven cleaning system maintains function over time.

common questions

The floor drain is designed to be fully repairable. This means that all internal and moving components can be replaced if something breaks.
The connection of the waterproofing to Enduce E1 is done via traditional clamping frame connections for either waterproofing foil for tiled floors, or for plastic carpet.
For concrete floors, the concrete cover layer under the floor drain should be about 70 mm to ensure fire EI 60 without further fire tests or thermal conductivity calculations.
Hot and cold water is connected to the side of the floor drain junction box via PEX hose in 25 mm conduit via type-tested cabinet penetrations. Drains are connected to the floor drain's 75 mm horizontal outlet spigot.
The floor drain can be ordered with a mounting frame for installation in lightweight floors (e.g. wood and sheet metal beams) with floorboards, or with fastening ears for fastening and leveling before pouring the floor and floor.
The heat recovery system is optimized for the shower flow of 8-9 litres/minute and normally handles flows up to about 12 litres/minute.
